*Leads and develops Medical and Scientific strategies, policies and programs for the Hemophilia (80% focus) and Immunology (20% focus) therapy areas within Latin America.
* Drives the implementation of programs for external professional education & local clinical trials and manages key relationships with professional societies and key opinion leaders with the region.
* Partners with the commercial teams to deliver training and development programs to ensure field teams have the clinical knowledge to effectively support the therapy effectively.
* ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Participates as a key member of the Baxter Latin America Hemophilia and Biotheraputics Leadership Teams Drives the strategy and execution of key therapy based educational activities and programs in the Region.
* Act as primary liaison to investigators interested in developing investigator driven research proposals in support of clinical and commercial objectives Facilitates the execution and provides advice and input to Baxter sponsored studies being completed in Latin America Serves as a member of advertising and promotional committee to provide clinical and scientific input for the marketing materials and programs to ensure scientific integrity and accuracy Supports development of communication and publication strategy and planning for hemophilia and immunology.
* Leads Latin America medical advisory boards and scientific focus groups to support clinical and business objectives.
* Develops and maintains relationships with thought leaders and investigators in hemophilia and immunology at academic and medical centers to build scientific understanding, expertise and identify clinical gaps and challenges.
* Also, identifies potential Key medical leaders within these therapy areas Develops medical position papers, clinical expert reports and brief communications for HCPs and patient advocacy organizations.
* Serves as the clinical and technical expert at medical congresses and patient meetings in Latin America.
* Supports abstracts, posters and manuscripts submission to medical congresses and peer-reviewed journal Maintains a familiarity of the published medical literature relating to the product line/therapeutic area and serves as a resource regarding clinical trends and their potential impact Coordinates with clinical and marketing for the design and execution of post-marketing studies and research and interpretation of clinical dataDevelops training and educational slide kit and materials for internal and external use.

Requirements
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to manage conflict as well as a demonstrated record of responsible actions.
* Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills, excellent presentation and teaching skills, enjoy teaching and interacting with HCPs Ability to influence, initiate, and accept change, and address complex, multi-faceted questions and issues.
* Demonstrates exceptional follow-through with respect to tasks and projects and be able to participate in a cross-functional team approach Ability to interact with a variety of individuals both within and outside of Baxter, which includes investigators, contract research organizations (CROs), payors, and advocacy groups Spanish and English fluency, Portuguese a very strong asset EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE The successful candidate must be a Medical Doctor with at least 7 years of active medical or academic practice in hematology.
* Additional experience in pharmaceutical or Biotechnology Company is an asset.
