1. Safety Surveillance
From a medical perspective, evaluates safety data, identifies and analyzes safety signals, and presents the medical interpretation of safety signals to appropriate forums
May recommend action to address safety issues
May initiate SRT meetings and with guidance, conducts these meetings
2. Collaboration with Internal Colleagues
Rapidly learns to provide the Medical Pharmacovigilance and medical perspective on cross-functional project teams
Provides medical expertise to Global Pharmacovigilance Operations and other Medical Pharmacovigilance therapeutic teams, as appropriate
3.Reports
With guidance, prepares draft written medical responses to ad hoc queries, draft Periodic Update Safety Reports, draft Justification of Safety Labeling Documents, draft topic reviews with medical insight
4. Managerial Responsibilities/Other
May manage Medical Pharmacovigilance Scientists.
Participates in intradepartmental initiatives.

Requirements
MD with the completion of a formal residency program, with a strong clinical background.Experience in epidemiology and /or pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred.This position can be located in Collegeville, PA or New York City, NY.
